I am John "Jack" Birckholtz. I have served as a minister for churches of Christ in Massachussetts, New Hampshire and Maine over the past 40 years. I have retired from full time ministry, but continue to teach and preach as a part time volunteer. My goal with this website is to help people believe in Jesus, and more closely follow His word in this life. I will post written, audio and video materials that I have produced in the past, as well as new materials I am currently developing. I don't pretend to have all the answers about the Bible, or that I have perfected my walk in Christ. I am a fellow apprentice wishing to help others apprentice Christ as well.

A while ago, I uploaded audio recordings of my sermons while I was preaching at the Oxford Hills Church of Christ in South Paris, Maine. The audio files are still posted, as far as I know, at www.OxfordHillsChurchofChrist.org . A number of people have asked me if I would make my lessons available as I taught classes at the Bell Shoals Church of Christ in Brandon, Florida. I got the idea to post video recordings of my lessons on YouTube and make written and audio materials available on a new website. Of the lessons I taught at Bell Shoals, some have only audio recordings, some have video of me standing at a distance, but none have video of my slides. I am currently processing the recordings to show the slides as narrated slide shows of my audio only classes and a video of my lessons with inserts of the slides for the other lessons. I hope to re-do some of my lessons in front of a video cam, in YouTube style. This might be more personable and engaging, although my appearance is not that special.
